Macroscopically, wood consists of bark, xylem and pulp core.
The whole tissue surrounding the secondary xylem of the trunk, branch, or root of wood;
Cambium: Located between the bark and xylem, the cambium thickens the diameter of the wood due to its meridional function;
Secondary xylem: located between cambium and pulp center, derived from the division of cambium;
Pulp heart: generally in the middle of the trunk, wrapped by xylem, providing nutrients for the growth of young trees, short life cycle;
